Today's recipe comes from Gamesviller Kpk830 who wanted to share a holiday favorite, her tasty Chewy Pecan Pie Squares. Here's what she had to add about her creative dessert, "I picked this recipe because it's fairly simple and makes a great substitute for the traditional holiday pie. I'll make several batches for various get-togethers and parties over the holiday season. They're always a crowd pleaser." Here's what you'll need to put together her delicious holiday treat:
Ingredients:
1 pkg. Yellow cake mix
5 Large eggs
1 C Dark corn syrup
1 C Sugar
1/3 C Vegetable oil
1/4 C Butter, melted
2 C Chopped pecans
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. In large bowl mix yellow cake mix, 1 egg and 1/3 C vegetable oil until crumbly. Press into bottom of prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes. In a separate bowl beat remaining eggs (4) with corn syrup, sugar and butter with an electric mixer, at a medium speed until blended. Stir in pecans and pour on top of cake mixture in pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until mixture is set. Cool completely and cut into squares. Recipe yields two dozen squares.

What was her big moment like? How will she spend her winnings? Find out below…
Gamesville: Congratulations! What was it like when you realized you won? When the screen first popped up that I had won I thought it was just stating that there had been a winner. It took me a few minutes to realize that I had won! Cindyrellie was in the chat room with me and we both got very excited. It is still so shocking to me!
What will you spend your winnings on? The winnings will go towards heating the house this winter. I am very grateful to Gamesville for this prize, words cannot express my emotions enough.
What do you do for a living? I am currently unemployed. Best part is I can see my family more. The worst part is getting turned down for jobs that do not exist right now. This prize money should be a big help.
What songs could you listen to for the rest of your life?
Neil Diamond – Rock Me Gently
Mariah Carey – We Belong Together
McFadden And Whitehead – Ain't No Stopping Us Now
What do you treasure most in the world? I treasure the love of my family the most. This is something that should never be taken for granted and forever cherished. Life is so short.
What does your Gamesville member name mean? Tabu is my choice of perfume and Tami is my name.
What game would you like to see the Gamesville team create next? I love everything about Gamesville, but I do miss the original prize payouts of Magic 21. Some type of match game for prizes would be fun, like the one during the intermissions.
Anything else you'd like to add? There was no real secret to my win, just luck and a lot of prayers. Thank you so much Gamesville. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas! May 2010 be a fantastic year for everyone!
Thanks, Tabutami – and congratulations again on your BIG win!
BIG congratulations are in order for one super lucky Gamesviller who hit it big this weekend when she played her hand at Magic 21. On Friday Dbadour0 of San Antonio, TX, scored our BIGGEST MAGIC 21 JACKPOT EVER–a whopping $5,382 in cold, hard cash. Why was her payout SO big? Well that's because Dbadour0 knows the value of a GV Gold subscription, as her membership instantly DOUBLED her jackpot winnings! Way to go!
And that's not all! Because over the weekend two other Gamesvillers scored quick cash in Quick-Draw Poker. Congratulations to Bondgirlvzw and the appropriately named I-love-money who each scored $100 this weekend in Quick-Draw Poker. And let's not forget about Hd98superglide of Stevens Point, WI, who brought in our biggest jackpot ever (so far) in Super Chef, as she raked in $200 in our newest puzzle game!
More than 200,000 people around the world came together last week on November 12th to break some wacky records on the fifth annual Guinness World Records Day. The highlight and feel good story of the day was the impressive comeback of Manjit Singh, the man who broke a world record for the furthest distance to pull a double-decker bus with hair in Battersea Park, London. Back in November 2007, Singh's record breaking dreams were dashed when he failed to break the record for furthest distance to pull a double-decker bus with the ears which makes his comeback this year even sweeter.
Take a look at this hair-raising feat in the video below courtesy of The Telegraph:
This week's Best Pet comes to us from Gamesviller Ampgal2 of Burlington, KY. Meet her adorable potbellied pig Kiwi!
Distinguishing Personality Traits
Ampgal2 had this to say about her friend: "This is Kiwi, my little Vietnamese pot belly pig. She is almost 3-weeks-old and is such a cutie pie, but quite a handful! She gets along great with the other animals in the house but one thing we found out is that she likes to nibble on your toes when you least expect it. And anytime anyone runs from her she will chase them. She is a great addition to the family! "

Congratulations to Gamesviller Ahheck of Deerfield Beach, FL, who became the first Gamesviller to hit a jackpot in our all-new puzzle game, Super Chef, for a quick $50 earlier today! Win up to $500 and check out Super Chef today!
Useless Fact!
Ahheck's hometown of Deerfield Beach, FL, recently was home to a strange and odd occurrence where two South Florida banks are now recovering from damages after two cars crashed into them within minutes of each other. Authorities say the first crashed happened around 1:20 p.m. at a Washington Mutual in Deerfield Beach. The Broward Sheriff's Office says an elderly woman accidentally hit the gas, ran over a curb and hit the bank's facade. About 20 minutes later, another elderly woman in Deerfield Beach lost control of her car and drove into a Wachovia. Read the full story at WWSB ABC 7 Florida.
Congrats again to Ahheck–looking forward to seeing all of you in game!
Today's recipe comes from Gamesviller Whitedove463 who wanted to share a holiday favorite, her delicious Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Cinnamon Pecan Crunch. Here's what she had to add about her festive dish, "I picked this recipe because I thought it would be a good change from the ordinary side dish. Your family and friends will be glad you took the extra time and will want to go back for more, so make extra." Here's what you'll need to put together her awesome side dish:
Ingredients:
3/4 C Firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbsp Orange juice
2 tsp Vanilla extract
1 & 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
1 & 1/2 tsp Ground ginger
1/2 tsp salt
3 lbs. sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
1 C Dried cranberries
6 tbsp Butter, cut up
1/2 C All-purpose flour
1 C Chopped pecans
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400° F. Mix 1/4 cup of brown sugar, orange juice, vanilla, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger and salt in a large bowl. Add sweet potatoes and toss to coat well. Spoon into 13×9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cranberries. Dot with 2 tablespoons of butter, cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the flour, remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar and remaining 1 teaspoon each cinnamon and ginger in a medium bowl. Cut in remaining 3 tablespoons of butter with a fork until coarse crumbs form and stir in the pecans. Remove sweet potatoes from oven and stir gently. Sprinkle pecan topping evenly over the top and bake, uncovered, for 25 to 30 minutes longer or until sweet potatoes are tender and topping is lightly browned.
Full prep and cool time: 20-30 minutes prep and 4 minutes cook time
