Bingo Questions

Written by gamesville / March 28, 2006 11:00 pm / 3 Comments

Some users have written in with questions about Three-Eyed Bingo, and I would like to address them:

1) I won; why didn’t the game give me the prize?

In Three-Eyed Bingo, to win, you need to check off the specified pattern in the light pink color on all three bingo cards, then click the “Bingo!” button. If you do not complete that pattern on your cards and/or you do not claim your win by clicking Bingo, you have not won.

2) Where can I see that pattern?

The specified pattern is pictured in two places–it’s marked on the bingo cards themselves, and the pattern is also pictured under the bingo cards next to the words “Match The Pattern.”

For example: If the pattern spells the word “BAT” you would need to form a B on your first card, an A on your second card and a T on your third card.

3) I’m sure that I completed the specified pattern, but it still said I didn’t win; what can I do?

Take a screen capture of the screen for your records and contact us. We take your problems seriously, so we do investigate every time a player claims to have won and not had the claim recognized by the system. The screen capture will help us in our investigation and it will also give you peace of mind.

(If you need help in taking a screen capture, follow these steps: Hit the “print screen” key on your keyboard. This will transfer the screen capture into memory. Open a graphics editor such as “Paint” (located in start/programs/accessories/) and paste the image into the file. This capability is built right into Windows, so there is no need to purchase special screen capture software.)

If you have other questions, please post them here and I’ll do my best to answer them.

Broken Link

Written by gamesville / March 17, 2006 9:42 pm / 15 Comments

We were just notified about a broken link on Gamesville (the “Edit Profile” link). I have submitted a report to our engineering department to get the link corrected. In the meantime, you may update your user information using this link: http://ldbreg.lycos.com/cgi-bin/mayaRegister?m_IP=1&m_RC=3

Thank you for your patience as we address this issue–and thank you for the other feedback you have been providing since the site change. We are working on the issues you have been identifying, and improvements will be rolling out over the next several weeks that will address those issues.

UPDATE: The issue with the Edit Profile link was resolved on March 18.

Fast Access To Classic Gamesville Games

Written by gamesville / March 15, 2006 6:55 pm / 6 Comments

Many players have written in asking for a simpler way to access their favorite free Gamesville games. The current site has bundled all the Gamesville-only games under the category of “GV Exclusives”. However, http://www.thebingozone.com lists all of these games in a format that may be easier on the eyes and it only includes pure Gamesville games that can be played for free for cash and GV Rewards. Please take a look and let us know what you think.

Where is Wheel of Fortune?

Written by gamesville / March 6, 2006 3:51 pm / 4 Comments

Many players have written in asking where they can play Wheel of Fortune (not the download, but the online tournament-style game).

We’re sorry, but Sony Pictures Digital, the company that owns the rights to the Wheel of Fortune game, has decided to no longer offer online tournaments in Wheel of Fortune for cash and prizes. So the answer is, unfortunately, you cannot play the game anywhere online at this time.

We have plenty of other great games planned for 2006. Be on the look out for more information about new games coming soon.

Meanwhile, if you enjoyed playing Wheel of Fortune online for cash and prizes, you may want to check out Lingo (also based on the popular TV show).

New Site: What do you think?

Written by gamesville / March 1, 2006 3:37 pm / 64 Comments

At Gamesville, we are always looking for ways to improve features and services to bring you the best games available, anywhere. The upgrade we released on February 28 is designed to give you fast access to the best games that are available exclusively on Gamesville (such as Three-Eyed Bingo — which is still going strong, with a jackpot up to $4,999 cash) while introducing you to a brand new way to play the most popular games available online. Now, you can play great games like Bejeweled 2, Bookworm, Zuma — and more — any way that you like: You can play for free, you can compete in tournaments for cash and other prizes, you can download them to play offline or you can even join or create your own leagues. We hope you try and enjoy the games. If you have any feedback, please let us know by clicking “post your comment” below and sending us your comments.

Gamesville member “Gameplayer723″ from Haverhill, Mass., is one of our most prolific members. Today she sends us these words to live by:

Do not argue with a spouse who is packing your parachute!

We don’t know if she’s speaking from personal experience, but it sounds like sage advice to us.

Got your own words to live by or a great joke to tell? Post it below.

If we use your joke in The Gamesville Times email newsletter, we will bonus you two hundred and fifty (250) GV Rewards!
