Hi all – we’re getting reports of players having troubles connecting to the servers. Our operations team is looking into this now, and we hope to have it resolved shortly. Thanks for your patience as we work on this.
3:40pm Eastern: We just released an update which should resolve this. If you’ve been experiencing this “error connecting to server” problem today, please sign out of your account and sign back in again. Then try playing a game again.
Java is the technology that powers a bunch of games on Gamesville and across the web. As some of you know all too well, the Java plugin is causing problems with several of our games.
We’re moving many of our games from Java to Flash (like we just did with Three-Eyed Bingo). In the meantime, our customer service team has put together this helpful, annotated guide to get your Java games back on track.

We have unfortunately been experiencing Network troubles since yesterday afternoon that have caused some connection issues for all of you. Our engineers have been hard at work amid a lovely blizzard (and throughout the night) to get the matter corrected. They indicate that the worst is over but that we could continue to see fluctuations with the site over the next 24hrs.
It’s frustrating not being able to get into your favorite game or talk to your friends in chat so I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time. Hopefully the rest of the weekend will prove fruitful for you all and I wish everyone good luck while playing! Take care, stay warm and drink some hot cocoa!

We’re looking into the issue and it will, hopefully, be resolved soon! There may be some troubles with signing in or loading games (which, pretty much, is everything I suppose).

Update – Everything is back online! If you’re still having trouble, quit your browser and try again. If that doesn’t work, please contact customer service.
Looks like something broke when trying to update our time limit. We’re on the case and all your GVs, Gold Memberships, and such should be returned to normal shortly. *sigh*
*UPDATE* And it looks like we’re back up!
I’m sure many of you are already aware of the site issues that have been happening tonight. Ugh. We’re working on fixing them and finding the root of the issue. I seriously think these past two months have been cursed and, unfortunately, that affects you guys.
I’ll try and get an ETA as to when we might start seeing some real, solid stability fixes tomorrow. I try my best to keep you informed and I know sometimes that’s not quite good enough.
Please be sure we’re on the issue and are working to resolve it.

So I spent a lovely morning wrestling with my local Registry of Motor Vehicles only to find our site going kablooey! When it rains it pours, I guess! We know what happened, fortunately, and are working to prevent that sort of thing from repeating itself. In the meantime I thank you all for your patience and your understanding as we try our best to address the issue and to fix it as quickly and as permanently as possible.

EDIT: Okay, we’re going to try and reboot some of our servers. According to our engineers, you may experience a hiccup but nothing major. But please, if you get booted or something happens, clear your cache and reload the site. And let me know if you experience any additional issues here. THANKS!!
But we’re working on it right now to fix it. Sorry everyone – looks like the holidays just are magnets for trouble. I’ll update as soon as I get more info!
