Gamesville visits PAX East 2012 and lives to tell the tale!
This past weekend, Gamesville had the privilege of attending the largest gaming convention on the East Coast of the United States, PAX East! This year we expanded our booth to 20′x10′ (over 10′ x 10′ last year) and it was a blast! With over 70,000 people in attendance it was wall-to-wall gaming fans each day (Friday through Sunday). The entire Gamesville team met so many awesome people during our three days that it’s hard to keep track! We spent the time showing off Pirate Cove Bingo as well as giving people a very small sneak-peak at our up-and-coming slots game. We also handed out a ton of swag for those willing to do a little work by either winning two bingos in one round of Pirate Cove, liking our Facebook page, or sending is a shout-out on Twitter.
Pirate Cove Bingo Expansion drops next Wednesday!
*EDIT* Oh game development, you are a harsh mistress. Despite everything working hunky-dory in our test environment it seems that things are just required to break even when you don’t do anything different!
Our engineers have identified the issue and are working on it now. Currently we have rolled back to our old version. Thanks for your patience everyone!

We’ve not been sitting idly on our haunches since the launch of Pirate Cove Bingo. Quite the contrary, we’ve been hard at work on the game, bringing more gameplay and fun to the table! With this expansion we will be adding three additional rooms to unlock, ranks to earn, new sound and music, and more eye-popping graphics to enjoy!

Frantic Fish updated! What’s been changed?
Thanks to everyone’s excellent feedback, we’ve updated some elements in Frantic Fish to make the game play easier and faster! The first thing you’ll notice are the changed numbers. We’ve heard from many of our users that the original numbers were hard to see while trying to play the game frantically (ba-dum-pssh!). Bam! Done! We’ve also addressed some issues concerning the crazy amount of animation in the game: some people’s machines just can’t handle it. While we’re not exactly on the bleeding edge here at GV HQ, we’ve got some beefy computers to help us do our work and we can lose sight of the fact that not everyone’s running a quad-core mega-machine. So we added a switch to turn animations on or off to accommodate all our players!
Frantic Fish gets some updates: prepare for 15 minutes of downtime at 7am EST 5/11/11 (Wednesday)
So yeah – but this time it’s planned and for something good!
We’ve made improvements to Frantic Fish based on your feedback: making the numbers and shells easier to see, allowing people to turn off the animations so they can run better on older machines (or those with less RAM), and more! So it should we should be down around 7am tomorrow morning for just about 15 minutes or so.
Please spread the word so that as few people are caught unawares.
