While it’s true that our very own Boston, Massachusetts, held the very first St. Patrick’s Day celebration in 1737, The Windy City steps things up a few notches. For the past 40-plus years, Chicago has not only held a big St. Patrick’s Day parade, but dyed their famed Chicago River green!
How green does it get? Take a look at this (from 2008):

Gamesville reminds you to thank a veteran for their service today
In the U.S., Veterans Day began as Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I with the signing of an armistice at 11 a.m. on November 11, 1918, in Compiègne, France—the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Today we celebrate Veterans Day as a way of saying 'thank you' to those that have served this country. So on behalf of the Gamesville team we want to thank all the servicemen and women that have come here to make Gamesville a great destination for games and fun.
Happy Veterans Day, everyone!
