It’s time to brush up on your avatar creations and twist those costumes into something perfect for the Fall season! Our winner will receive 10,000 GVs while 10 additional Runners-Ups will get 5,000 GVs. And, yes, I will be much more prudent about picking winners and letting everyone know!
So, let’s see what you’ve got? The cut-off date for entries will be next Wednesday (9/12) at 5:00pm EST so you’ve got some time to get all creative up in here. Just make a comment below with “This is my entry!” and I’ll count it. Only one entry per person so if you decide to switch things around, make sure you mention which one you’d like to use in your post.

On last Friday’s “Post Anything,” I created a small contest to go along with the usual conversations: I asked people to post about their dream vacations and I would pick five random entries and award their authors 10,000 GVs. Not a bad deal! Additionally, I would also post their entries here so you could all read them and maybe it would help inspire your next vacation! Or not. Either way, it was a blast to read through all of them and I hope you feel the same way.
We have tallied the votes and have a winner for the 2011 Gamesville.com’s Halloween Avatar Costume Contest! With over 250 entries (100 more than last year!), it was very hard to narrow it down to a top 5 for you all to vote on. After giving you 5 days of voting, you have selected your favorite spooky avatar!

266 Avatars have entered this year’s contest!Wow, that is over 100 more entries than last year – thanks to everyone who entered. I have also closed the Official Entry thread so hopefully everyone who wanted to participate was able to do so.
I just can’t get over how creative everyone has been in the genesis of their Halloween avatars. The cleverness of design and use of color makes me think that you all should be on Project Runway!
Narrowing down to the Top 5 for next Thursday will be incredibly difficult but we here at GV HQ are up for the challenge! Looking forward to sharing the voting poll with you next Thursday and good luck to all of our entrants.

We’ll stop accepting entries Thursday at 5pm EST (October 20th) so that should give everyone a chance to enter the contest. Then we shall narrow the entries down to the Top 5 and that is where you come in!
Thursday, October 27th, I will have a poll where everyone can vote on your favorite avatar!

Just a friendly reminder, all posts that are *not* entries (even if they are to say ‘Good Luck’ only) will be removed to make it easier on everyone.
So, how will we do this? It’s going to be pretty simple. Work on your avatars! Get them up to snuff! And on Tuesday, October 18th, I’ll make a post on the blog for you to submit your avatar OFFICIALLY to the contest. Just post a comment to the effect of “Here is my entry” and I will just grab your avatar from your profile.
Mega and I will pick the top 5 avatars for one final round. Then on Thursday, October 27th, I will post a poll giving you, the Gamesville community, a chance to vote for your favorite avatar and that lucky member will win 5000 GVs! The other runners-up will receive 1000 GVs.
We will announce the winner on Monday, October 31st – just in time to go trick or treating!!
