We have tallied the votes and have a winner for the 2011 Gamesville.com’s Halloween Avatar Costume Contest! With over 250 entries (100 more than last year!), it was very hard to narrow it down to a top 5 for you all to vote on. After giving you 5 days of voting, you have selected your favorite spooky avatar!

Time for you to cast your vote for your favorite Halloween Avatar. I must say that narrowing down to just five avatars was incredibly hard for the GV Staff. We all enjoyed the creativity our members have taken in creating their submissions and look forward to similar contests in the near future.

266 Avatars have entered this year’s contest!Wow, that is over 100 more entries than last year – thanks to everyone who entered. I have also closed the Official Entry thread so hopefully everyone who wanted to participate was able to do so.
I just can’t get over how creative everyone has been in the genesis of their Halloween avatars. The cleverness of design and use of color makes me think that you all should be on Project Runway!
Narrowing down to the Top 5 for next Thursday will be incredibly difficult but we here at GV HQ are up for the challenge! Looking forward to sharing the voting poll with you next Thursday and good luck to all of our entrants.

We’ll stop accepting entries Thursday at 5pm EST (October 20th) so that should give everyone a chance to enter the contest. Then we shall narrow the entries down to the Top 5 and that is where you come in!
Thursday, October 27th, I will have a poll where everyone can vote on your favorite avatar!
PRIZES
The winning entry (as voted by you) will win 5,000 GVs! Each runner-up will receive 1,000 GVs.

So, how will we do this? It’s going to be pretty simple. Work on your avatars! Get them up to snuff! And on Tuesday, October 18th, I’ll make a post on the blog for you to submit your avatar OFFICIALLY to the contest. Just post a comment to the effect of “Here is my entry” and I will just grab your avatar from your profile.
Mega and I will pick the top 5 avatars for one final round. Then on Thursday, October 27th, I will post a poll giving you, the Gamesville community, a chance to vote for your favorite avatar and that lucky member will win 5000 GVs! The other runners-up will receive 1000 GVs.

Heck yeah! We’ll be taking entries all this week and through the 4th of July holiday weekend so get your creative juices going and show me what you got! We’ll stop taking entries at 5:00pm EST July 5th and come up with a winner by July 8th!
First place gets 7,500GVs and four runner-ups will get 4,000GVs.
