Today’s delicious recipe comes from Gamesviller TazzNazz!
TazzNazz tells us why she wanted to share this recipe “I would love to share this recipe as it is one my favorite snacks besides being quick & easy too! My late grandma had given her recipe box to my Mom years ago and Mom passed it on to me. This recipe was in the box handwritten on a card that’s almost faded. I tried it and got hooked on these dumplings.”
Apple Dumplings Recipe:
- 2 Granny Smith Apples (peeled, cored & cut in squares or quarter)
- 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/8 teas. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 3/4 cup of white sugar
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 1 teas. of vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350. Wrap each apple piece in once crescent roll. Place the seam side down in a small baking dish (maybe an 8×8). Sprinkle each of them with cinnamon.
In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and orange juice. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour sauce over the rolls and bake for around 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and apples are tender. When serving, spoon sauce over rolls.
Great with some ice cream too.
ENJOY!
