For six years, Capitan has been watching guard over his master, Miguel Guzman. Unfortunately, Mr. Guzman passed away back in 2006. The German Shepard had reportedly run away after his master died but was found one week later sitting by his grave in Argentina. The family says Miguel adopted Capitan in 2005 for his son, Damien. Even stranger, the family has never brought Capitan to the cemetery prior to finding him there.
“We searched for him, but he had vanished,” widow Veronica Guzman told LaVoz.com. “We thought he must have got run over and died.
‘The following Sunday we went to the cemetery, and Damian recognized his pet. Capitan came up to us, barking and wailing as if he were crying.”
The Guzman family keeps looking after Capitan buy says he never stays home, always rushing back to be by his master’s side. That’s real loyalty further proving that pets aren’t just friends but true family members.
