Who’s ready to play Reel Cash Critters? Because it’s available now! *UPDATED 8/3/12*

Told you it’d be coming this week! As our first reel new game in, well, a long time we are extremely excited to show off what we’ve been working on for so long. As a quick refresher, Reel Cash Critters features:

  • Tons of Reel Cash prizes from $5 – $10!
  • 5 reels of super slots action!
  • Spin-O-Matic mini-game available to all members!
  • GOLD EXCLUSIVE Shooting Gallery!
  • Awesome art, sounds, and animation!
  • And “Awesome Mode” which allows you to turn on and off some of the cooler animations (for those of us with older/slower computers)!

You may notice the “Beta” in the logo. Well, we’ve still got even more stuff coming but we just couldn’t keep you away from playing a moment longer. I’ll be sure to detail this exclusive new feature as it gets closer to being done. Until then, click here to get playing everyone!

Shout Outs

I want to give some huge shout-outs to the our team that have worked incredibly hard to get this game out the door and it’s also a wonderful showcase of our new artist’s talent!

In addition, let’s all give a big hand to Dottily! She came up with the name ‘Reel Slot Shots’ and will be receiving a swag package shortly! Also to Penepincher for being our first OFFICIAL WINNER! Congrats!

Update – 8/3/12

Please remember that updates take TIME to implement. Just because we say there will be some changes doesn’t mean they just magically appear the instant we mention them. We need to test them first to make sure any changes don’t break the game or cause worse problems.

That being said, we met to discuss possible changes to the game and we’ll be working to get them into testing ASAP. Almost all of them center around increasing GV payouts.
Right now the Spin-o-matic DOES equate to how much you bet. However, make sure to check the symbol payouts table to better understand how much each one would be worth. But it won’t matter too much anyway because *all* of those are going to go up by a significant amount soon.

The same goes for the Mini-Game. We’ll be tying that to your wager as well so if you get one and you’re betting 200GVs per line then each duck/rabbit will be worth more.

That being said, we don’t take into consideration your ENTIRE bet, we take into consideration how much you are betting PER LINE, like a real slot machine. The main difference is that you’re using GVs (which we give away in other games) rather than quarters and dollars ;)

Updates to performance will take much longer as we’ll need to dissect the game and see where the bottlenecks are. Our first priority will be to update the GV payouts and then work on performance.

Thanks for all the constructive criticism, everyone. And since there are so many posts I can’t address them all individually. I’m definitely not ignoring you.

Update – 8/2/12

We’re definitely taking a look at how everyone’s GVs are affected. As for everyone’s suggestions, we are taking them down and will be going over them today as we plan out updates and tweaks to maximize everyone’s fun. Additionally, we will be working on optimizing the game for slower computers so everyone can play. It’s *very* animation heavy so that can affect performance on older machines. Also the new version of FireFox seems to not like it as much, which is weird because it worked fine on older versions. In fact, it seems hit-or-miss because browsers are wacky and they all behave differently.
