This week's Best Pet comes to us from Gamesviller Darcyann661 of Walkerton, IN. Meet her clingy companions, Meatloaf and Baldy!

Distinguishing Personality Traits

Darcyann661 says, "This is my Pit Bull Meatloaf enjoying a nap with her best friend, my cat Baldy. When Baldy was born Meatloaf took the litter of kittens and hid them several times. We would search high and low for them almost everyday and if we got close to them she would growl. Baldy's mother died two weeks after giving birth to her kittens due to complications and that's when Meatloaf took over being mom to Baldy for the next nine years. Baldy's meow sounds like 'MOM' and whenever Meatloaf heard it she would go and check on her little friend. Everywhere Meatloaf went Baldy was not far behind. They truly loved each other unconditionally and it was just amazing to watch a dog who had never been around a cat in her entire life take on the role of being an over protective mother."
