Today’s delicious recipe comes from Gamesviller cuffslover!
Cuffslover shares why this recipe is so special, “I often make this recipe for potlucks and gatherings. I find that the pan is always one of the first things emptied with many folks asking for the recipe. I sometimes mix a little fried bacon crumbs in with the topping – omg to die for good!”
World’s Best Scalloped Potatoes Recipe:
- 8 large potatoes, with skin
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 stick real butter
- 8oz sour cream

Boil potatoes, cool and peel skin off. In 13×9 glass baking pan, shred the potatoes in even layer. In sauce pan, mix soup, butter, sour cream and cheese. Cook and mix until creamed together. Dump over the shredded potatoes. Sprinkle top with corn flakes.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes until top is golden brown and cheese sauce is bubbling. Let cool 10 minutes.

It may be a month of entries but it,s also a month without the member versus non member wars, which may be the real reason for the change.

Ok. So sometimes life gets away from us more than normal..As I sit here crying I am reminded of how hard I try to make my life and others lives around me better by just being a good person, I am reminded how fragile life is. I have been struggling with cancer and always wanted to do the right thing and not be a cry baby around the ones I love, but today I lost it and I’m very sorry… I’ve been working sooooo very hard to win the 100.00 at C2C, but when I got home it was too late…..I played allll day and nothing came up when I was free, when i went for chemo and came home just now.. all was gone…and my chances to win were over… Please, please do not judege me…… I needed a good vent ,and a moment to share with some of my friends who would listen, and I thank you.. My Heart is very heavy right now… xxxooo

Prayers are with you. We all have our time of explosions and most of us do not have half the excuse you do. I understand where you are coming from, having went through this with my own daughter. Good wishes for your battle and never give up. We scream over the little things when we can not control the big things.
Comment by grayheadedmama — February 19, 2012 @ 5:12 pm

Blake, my prayers are with you as you are fighting a terrible battle. I see it in my own family with my sister-in-law.
Don’t worry about venting, we all need to do it now and again. You take care of yourself and may God hear your prayers to make you well once again.
And if you need a shoulder to cry on, I have two big ones here.

Do you cook the potatoes completely or do you just cook until they boil? Seems like a long time to cook in oven if potatoes already cooked. Please answer soon my potatoes are already on the stove.
Comment by grayheadedmama — February 28, 2012 @ 3:28 pm
Blake I know how your feeling as my husband found out last month he too has cancer and is now doing the treatments. Our prayers are with you and keep your chin up we are here for you! Keep playing you will win. God bless
Comment by colette1019 — February 28, 2012 @ 3:47 pm
To Blake and anyone else battling the Big Bully with the little c. There’s a website I go to called Cancer Compass. You can talk and share so many things with people with just your type of cancer. I know I was so scared and frightened of the unknown with my own diagnosis. You can vent, find those who have walked our paths before us, and sometimes even find out about new treatments, or clinical trials. It’s worth a try, and I’ll tell you, as a lung cancer survivor of 18 months, I truly send my prayers to all who have joined the club we’ve never wanted to join. God’s Grace upon you all.
