Trolls and other unsavory characters are not welcome here at Gamesville

There’s no question that there are a few “members” here whose only purpose is to sow discontent and anguish in our community. It happens everywhere on the internet and, unfortunately, is unavoidable. These people make it their goal to upset, infuriate, and distress others online for their own enjoyment and amusement. Without doubt that is shameful, hurtful, and incredibly selfish and nasty.

Sometimes they’re immediately recognizable (with awful usernames that circumvent our best attempts at policing them immediately) and other times they wait until people are comfortable around them before lashing out. This is what we call an internet “troll.”

Let it be known that Gamesville has no tolerance for such behaviors and that if you see it, please report it immediately. Make sure you use the report function in a room so we know which room at what time the incident(s) happened. Take a screen shot if possible (I’ll tell you how at the end) as further evidence of this. We will investigate the matter and deal with it as best as we can. But please be aware that we are a small team and it may take some time before we can bring the ban-hammer down.

Also be aware that Gamesville is a site for those who are 18+ years and over. Some conversations may get spicy but our rooms are still supposed to be open and friendly to all. However, if they spill over into harassment, prejudice, or arguments then that is where people can ask us to step in. Especially if the ‘Block’ function isn’t enough. Minors and kids shouldn’t be playing unsupervised on here.

We take this sort of thing very seriously and we take your reports about it equally so.

And this image is for Jasandtana who, unfortunately, put me in the mood to continue playing Skyrim even though I am at work (90+ hours played already):
