Good news: Gamesville Avatars are now live! Try Gamesville Avatars now–it's 100% FREE.
Note: As of this moment, you can only see your own avatar. However, very soon we're going to give you the ability to see each other's avatars through chat and other means–so get creating!
To everyone who wrote in about avatars over the last several weeks: This was a different kind of project for us to work on–and we appreciate your patience as we worked on it–and we hope you enjoy it.
If you have comments about things you want to see (more eye choices, for example, or a certain kind of hat, etc.) please post those ideas here and we'll take them into consideration as we introduce new pieces of clothing and other items to dress up your avatars.
If you have questions or comments about the avatar system, post them here as well and we'll do a round up of questions and answers in the coming days.

We've entered the QA phase for the project, which is great news. Our target launch for avatars is the second week of July. In the meantime, here is a preview of just a handful of the avatars you can create easily and quickly with the Gamesville avatar system…

Avatars are one of the new features coming to Gamesville.com over the next few weeks–and we're really excited about them.
What are avatars? Basically, avatars are a representation of yourself that are connected to your username.
Those of you who have been around here awhile will know that Gamesville currently offers a rudimentary set of avatars in games like spades and euchre. We will continue to support those avatars; so if you like being the crazy baby head, you can continue being the crazy baby head. But we're soon going to add dozens of brand new avatars that will help you express yourself and your mood like never before.
Best of all, the Gamesville avatars will be available to all users, FREE of charge.

Well, where do I start? First of all you are doing a great job with this site. It IS time for a facelift! It was nice to see the changes in gamesville as you have shown them in its progression through the years, as i missed a couple.
I have been playing gamesville since 2000, i can't get enough of Poker Inferno. Yes, i have tried them all including the new one "Magic 21". I do like the name "flashing" games.
OOps, i have noticed that Canadian players from bingo don't win the jackpot but i assure you there has been at least one Canadian winner from the monthly sweepstakes. I'd like to thank you again GV for the monthly sweepstakes ($1000) I won in 1994. Yes, it is all legit guys.
Let's get down to business, when you introduced the GV rewards, you had different badges that were offered when you reached a certain amount in your rewards, however, they have stopped at just over 8 million and its a rabbit. I would like to see more badges offered as the players reach there goal on each badge. To be rewarded with an icon or something would be nice as we put our time and effort into the games.
Also are you not offereing the monthly and weekly sweepstakes anymore? I cannot find the page. Ah yes there it is, It's under the "edit" tab beside the "sign in" press on it and you are good to go. I just dumped all mine for the $200 weekly and it's quite a big amount. HEHE
You have announced that new avatars are coming, what would be nice to see is, if you can show them in all game rooms not just the few that are available, or have a choice of showing your avatar or gv symbol.
Profiles would be a nice add to the site, since alot of people ask where each other are from, what they do, married, etc, this way you read the profiles that have been filled outand the players won't have to fill up the chat screen.
My Gv page is missing or it's hiding, I am not sure which one it is. I will find out though. Ok, found it, again it's under the "edit" tab beside the "sign in" press on it and you are good to go.

I just played Three Eyed Bingo and I and most all of the other players do not like the yellow color as you can not see your yellor numbers and you some time loose your points. This should be changed real fast. Also there should be more winners. The jack pot doesn't have to be $4999.00 for some one to win.

What in the world were you thinking? Bingo zone is slow enough and now you put intermissions in it? Magic freezes up on me all the time and i can't see my scores or see what everyone is saying because the chat box is too small. Also i would like to know if there is a way you could make up a room in honor of mine and other's dear firend who passed away. we need a bingo zone room named Oakley. Thank you and no more LONG intermissions!!! They're putting me to sleep!!!

What a pleasant surprise to visit my ol' time favorite game site! and see its new and improved look. I was playing games here when the last change took affect, and remember how in awe I was at its new look too! Its a very good idea giving sites a facelift, as even when your married you get tired of seeing the same ol' face all the time! No, I'm just kidding…

I have been a gamesville member for quite a while now and had over 332,000 lifetime GV rewards. I sign on today 4/14/2007 and now have only 14,829. My badge is a dice. It still shows the dice as my badge so I don't understand what is going on with my lifetime GV's. While i think the avatars will be a great addition to the site the recent changes you have made with the ranking icons and the emoticons MUST go. it's too hard to distinguish which emoticon we are using and the thumbs are much better. and the ranking icons–while some look great there are some that look just awful such as the flame it just looks like a blob of red now please see what you can do to remedy this situation

I've been with gamesville for a while now and the facelift is definately a positive. I really enjoy coming here to interact with people and at the same time get a chance at some cash. This site is so much fun. Keep up the good work you guys!!

I am impressed with the new look GV has devised since I spend so much time in here. But I wish they would remove the ad bar on the bottom of the game screens esspecially magic 21 game screens. The chat is being filled a fair amount of the time with players complaining about it and how it is freezing their screens and the screen flashing or flickering all the time. My game screen flickers all the time and I do find it a bit annoying but I enjoy playing cards. Congradulations GV on the new and improved look, I hope you can consider taking the ads off of game screens and putting them on lobby screens. I am sure it will make a alot of players happy. Keep up the work on the new look.

I created my avatar but it is not showing up on my gamesville page. I can only see the one I created if I go back to the create your avatar now page. Is that normal right now?

why do you have to have advertisements on the game page? this throws alot of people out of the game or freezes the game and not only that, takes away a ton of points from our ratings? we do not think this is fair one bit. can you please work on this big time problem. you are going to lose alot of people because of this. you dont see the people complaining in the lobbies, we, the other players do and its not a pretty site. be happy cursing doesnt appear in chat, unless you know how to get past that..ha ha. thank you for listening and i would love to hear back about this important issue and problem. 52terri (SN)
