Brown Sugar Chess Pie was sent to us by Gamesviller Dodi417 from Statham, GA. She says: "This is similar to pecan pie but much richer."
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups of brown sugar, packed
- 1 stick of margarine or butter
- ¼ cup of whole milk
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 cup of pecans (more if you like)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and beat by hand — don't use a mixer.
- Pour mixture into an unbaked 9-inch pie crust.
- Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees and bake for another 25 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
- Tastes great with ice cream or whipped topping.
