UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who reported the issue with My Gamesville not tracking your friends' locations correctly. This issue has been resolved. If you see any other weirdness, please let us know.

Last night, we launched several enhancements to our platform (the first of many), and I wanted to draw your attention to two of them.
First, we have a new sign in page, which looks like this:

If you're an existing member, just enter your username and password in the boxes on the right-hand side of that page and click the "Sign In" button. This will sign you in and send you back to Gamesville. Be sure to check the "Save Information" box so you don't need to sign in like this again.
Second, and perhaps more importantly, we have upgraded the "block user" functionality in our chat and connected it to My Gamesville so you more easily prevent certain members from communicating with you in chat.
In chat, click the user you want to block and select the "Block from Chat" option. This will prevent that user from sending you chat messages in this game and any other games on Gamesville, until you choose to unblock them. Alternatively, you can block users who are not online or not in the same chat room with you by going to My Gamesville.
In My Gamesville, the "Blocked Users" list is located beneath the "Add Friends" list. Type the username of the player you wish to block into the field provided, then click the "Block User" button. To unblock users, click the "Remove" link beside their username.
Please note that this won't prevent other players from finding you by, for example, looking through rooms to find you. But it will make it more difficult to communicate with you and hopefully make the experience on Gamesville more enjoyable for everyone.
As always, please let us know what you think of these changes so we know how we're doing and what you'd like to see next.
Thanks,
Chris

I can't get any of the "cash" games to load. All I get is a page
that says "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage.

that is not right about the block feature cause now you cant block proble and abusive ppl from the chatroom they can still talk even if 3 ppl block. you need to fix that cause the nastiness of some ppl will go on and that is not fair to the ppl that is trying to have fun and play. please fix that

Here in the last few months I have really curtailed my time playing on this site mainly due to the private tournaments going on in certain games. I come into this site to relax and enjoy myself chatting with my friends. I really don't appreciate these people yelling their scores out between the games and taking up what little chat time there is. There needs to be a special room(s) so they can have their fun and and we can go back to the way it used to be. A LOT of other players have stopped playing here because of this problem.

I got two questions one i'm repeating after 10 business days; friends lists still not working wwhy not?? and why doesn't the new blocker work either? we have alot of rude ones on london room that love putting regulars down and cursing us, why noyt put blocking back to old way and leave it alone, since new one don't work???? ty a every day player….

This can be a good idea, will it effect the 3 blocks and the player gets booted from the game? Also when will friends list be back up and running? Then I can know whether to go into a room which has tournaments or not because id rather not waste my time going into those rooms, so either fix friends list or dont let rooms have tournaments, save many players a headache and address these issues.

Hi Patsy –
I'm sorry that you're having trouble getting into Magic 21. We need a little more information to narrow down the issue and resolve it; in this case, we need more information about your computer. Can you tell us what operating system you're using and how your hardware is configured?
The easiest way to do this in Microsoft Windows is to click on "Start", then "My Computer". Right-click on My Computer and go to "Properties". This will open the System Properties menu, which displays your operating system, processor, and memory. For example, your system properties might be, "Microsoft Windows XP, Pentium 4 CPU 2.80Ghz, 512 MB of RAM."
If you are using a Macintosh computer, click the apple icon in the upper left hand side of your screen, then click "About this Mac". A new window will appear and show your operating system, processor, and memory. For example, "Mac OS X Version 10.4.8, 1.2 Ghz PowerPC G4, 1.25 GB DDR SDRAM."
Please write down your system configuration and send it to me, so we can narrow down the issue and take care of it for you.
Thanks,
Chris

I love the new web pages, just one thought for us older players…It would be nice if the numbers used in the games ie: magic 21, were a little bigger and or had a brighter or a sharper contrast to the background. Not sure if that is even possible , or it is something I could do on my pc screen?
