Last month, we introduced you to the All-New Gamesville Spades. Today, Hearts and Euchre each got a similar makeover, including…
- The ability select different backgrounds for your game
- Integrating your Gamesville Avatar directly into the game board, so you can better see who you're playing with
- Greatly increasing the number of GV Rewards you can win playing these games, even in unrated games
- Expanded game options
A number of you suggested that we move the game status messages out of the chat area in Spades and put those messages elsewhere on the game board. We liked this idea a lot, so today we made this change in Spades and also updated Euchre and Hearts to offer the same functionality.
In that same vein, many of you requested the ability to replace bots in your current game with real players without leaving the table you're currently sitting at; with today's release, you can now invite players from the lobby to your table directly from your game, without leaving the table: just click the "Invite Player" button on the bot you'd like to replace.
Last but not least, we're happy to provide you with two popular online games: Rise Of Atlantis and Brickshooter Egypt. If you like the free online versions of these games, be sure to try the full download versions also available from the games' lobby pages.
We hope you enjoy these games and new features. As always, please let us know what you like and what you don't…

I have played a few games in the newly overhauled Euchre room. To be honest I do not much care for it. For starters, before I was able to play in a game and see what was going on in lobby at the same time. This is now impossible. The new table is so big, nothing but that can be seen – including chat in the room it self! I have to scroll up and down depending on whether I was to see my partners call or what has been written in chat.
With the avatars in the room and other fancy stuff, I find it difficult to follow what is going on – who called what – which really takes away from the game.
I was hoping this was perhaps just a "holiday" facelift, but from what I'm reading here, it is permanent. That is unfortunate because I have always enjoyed Gamesville, but Euchre was a favorite of mine – not any longer.
Please consider returning to original format.

Hi
Well I think its kind of funny to be able to see the other avitor's at the table during the game but is it possible to make the table a little smaller so you can also enjoy chat as we play.I love gamesville and especially the euchre room.Tks for listening Bye

gamesville, gamesville, gamesville, wut iz goin on here?? i could begin to mention wut i dont like about the new euchre "look" but unfortunately it wouldnt fall short of EVERYTHING. its sad that people have been chassed off due to a select few but….now gamesville itself is chassing people away! yeah its nice n all to be able to see the avatars of the other players but u could do that before by simply clicking on their name. as for the rest its like rush hour in new york. and i speak for many when i say that it is hard to bring ourselves to come back to gamesville to play and chat. i read the blog almost everyday and i never once seen a complaint about how the games looked until after you all changed the site. in leimans terms..if it aint broke dont fix it! if this will do me or any of us any good to say ….please put it back the way it wuz

First let me say that I am a euchre freak!! When I joined gamesville a few years ago, I loved how simple it was, no fancy stuff. Now you cant see 2 feet in front of you, what your partner bid, havin to scroll up and down is for the birds. Also I cant tell when my buddies get on or see the main chat without movin the whole screen, again for the birds. Please change it back!!!!!!!!!! I dont want to have to find another site to play on. Thank You

Hello, I know you are trying to make the games better but I think there are still some kinks to work out. I mostly play euchre and now you cannot see the chat bar and the playing table at the same time—so that is a disadvantqge. Other players also said that when I asked them. I do like when it shows the round is completed. You might try making the table smaller or something so we can have it all at our fingertips. we like to chat while we play. thanks for the relaxing fun you give us on gamesville. Thank you, Poetlu

just a suggestion to those who have to scroll to see the table and chat area at the same time….. you may want to change your screen resolution in order to fit more information on the screen. 1024 by 768 is what i have mine set at and i can see the entire table and the chat area, including the bottom where you type. just have to scroll the window up a tiny bit to cover the little black bar with the help and panic button on it. it just barely fits, but i can see it all. can't see the lobby chat though, but if you move the lobby window over to the left and the game window to the right, you can see most of the lobby chat area; it's not the entire chat, but at least you can see who's chatting or if a buddy comes in and says hello.
i realize that some people set their screens to a resolution that makes everything bigger because they have trouble seeing small text and whatnot, but this also makes it impossible to see an entire game screen, and that isn't just this site. a lot of sites; game sites and otherwise; have optimal resolution settings that they recommend.

Thanks for all your feedback. We've moved the chat in Hearts, Euchre, and Spades from the bottom to the right, so anyone using 1024×768 resolution (the minimum resolution that we support) should be able to see the chat in the game just fine. Please note: If you've already played any of these games today, you will need to delete your temporary files and restart your browser in order to obtain the new version of these games.

Thank you Gamesville! The new Hearts is much more playable! I like the light blue theme that makes the screen easy to see along with the "spider-solitaire" style cards that Spades recently switched to. Much easier to play with. The avatar faces make it more interesting too.
Keep the improvements coming!

How do I change my face from a cat to a person and what did I hit to make my screen the Cat I want to get rid of the cat and get my screen saver back. thanks I am getting use to the new hearts but I think the rating thing stinks. you have to start with four people before you can get a rating thats impossible one always one drops out and then your not rated…..I do like the 500 GV points if you win.

I don't care for the makeover in echure. I find it very difficult to follow what trump is made and who made it . I have to keep scrolling up and down during the game and cann't see chat anymore. If you could down size the images it would probably be better, couldn't be worse. Also I don't see the need of the popup score at the end of each hand when you can see the score on the left. Some food for thought. I like playing echure but not this way. Kathy
