We understand from comments here in the Blog and from emails into customer service that some of the ads running on some Gamesville games are causing playability issues for several of you.
Our ad operations group is investigating and removing ads that are causing problems, and we need your continued help to identify exactly which ads are causing problems for you.
The next time an ad starts to interfere with your game, please take a screenshot of that ad and send it to us so our ad operations group can investigate and remove that ad from our site.
The easiest way to capture a screenshot using Microsoft Windows is to press one of the following on your keyboard:
- Alt + Print Screen to capture the active window, or
- Print Screen to capture your full computer screen
You then need to paste this screen capture into a graphic to create the screenshot. To paste this screenshot into an actual graphic…
- Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint. This will open the Paint application.
- Press Ctrl + V to paste the screen capture into Paint.
- Now go to Select File > Save As.
- In the Save In field, select a location to save the file, such as your Desktop.
- In the File name field, type in a name for the file.
- In the Type field, select .bmp, .gif, or .jpg.
- Click Save.
If you're using a Macintosh computer, the process is a little more streamlined: With the window up that you want to take a screenshot of, click these three keys simultaneously: Shift-Apple-3. This will save a "Picture" file to your dekstop automatically.
Send us your screenshot and a description of your issue–including the game where the ad appeared–via our ticket submission form.

I am not a whiz at computer stuff, such as your directions on how to report a problem with an ad. So, I will just tell you & hope for the best. I have been unable to play bubblepopper 2 due to an ad for Swami. I've tried clicking on "next ad" to no avail. This ad has not only disrupted my play, but it has also frozen my computer for hours at a time.
The ad has a pic of a Ouigi board and at the top it says "reveal your destiny". I will check back in a week or so and try again. I have been resorting to playing online at other sites because of this problem.

I have been a player since the 90s and i really miss bingozone offering a dollar or two in cash for winning, and the picturama and coverall games. also could gv rewards some day be cashed in for something else like free ringtones or music downloads? i would still enter the cash sweepstakes, but i do not want to put four hundred entries in or save my gv rewards forever.

i would like to know why we must pay for the games after a hour play. is thi the way the pay their company or is it more money in there pockets? i like to know? and i think you should run this and see how many others out there would like to know why why we have to pay for a game you haveto play more of the game????

The Windows Vista add continues to cause problems with several games I play, including Miami Dice and Word Whopper. It cause the game to hang, no matter how may times I hit refresh add.

i noticed other people are having a hard time with certain ads my problem is with only one its the office ad with the dark headed girl on left of it everytime i get that ad it messes me up i have stop going into pool as much since this problem its aggrevating to finally get logged in start playing and end up booted or locked up because of these ads please do your best to figure otu this ads problem and then i will be more active again thank you for your time sincerely wendy

I have a complaint regarding your ads. They seem to be a little to racy and I don't how to get rid of them. These ads are coming on during the day and into the night.

whatever you have done to the euchre site is upsetting ppl.players have fallen asleep or wont play or to busy holding up the games cuz they at work or busy chatting and we no longer have the option to boot..i know many who play in the daytime while at work and enjoy the comfort of haven one partner or just the freedom to play with robots ..plz help us put back the boot button and the option to have private rooms with 2 players and robots ,and outta the 6 years of playing here. the last time you changed the ranking system everyone has been green ..please give us more points for winning a game ..thank you for taking the time to read this ..but i dont stand alone…muffy 63

You have spades and I like the format.
Is it possible for you to also have a room for suicide spades, you will find this game very addictive and good sports absolutely LOVE it.
Format is as spades but one person must bid nil each hand. There is a double nil allowed with passing 2 cards to your partner but you must be at least 200 pts behind.

Hi you guys. I really enjoy Gamesville but I have a problem with the ads. They are not slowing down my games but they are annoying when they are so loud and I can't go to the next sponsor because it is the same sponsor for hours or a whole day. I know I can turn down my volume but I want to not have an ad talking to me at all. I tend to leave Gamesville when that happens. Can something be done about that?

Ads & Spite & Malice Games:
Why the changes with Playing robots without scoring points. If we cant play for points with robots why play with people for points. Now opponent players are quitting in the middle of games and tables are harder to get than ever because people get a table and just sit there until someone with points close to thier own want to play. Rather than loose the table they just wait. I miss the robots and want them back. With so many rooms available why not return the bots to play for points? Whats the big deal about that?
Also, I dont have any problem loading the game but I seldom see more than three ads even after staying online and playing for hours. After a few minutes the same three ads rotate and thats it. I have Windows Vista and IE7, Current Java.

I realize you're having trouble on your site…….but……….I was playing spider solitare and had a winning streak of 1060 plus, when the game froze and when I came back in it started the count back at 1. I think that's wrong. very wrong.

I am from New Zealand and have been playing freegames for a while and have made a lot of new friends around the world. Now suddenly without warning I cannot play anymore because someone in Quebec won. Quebec is not New Zealand and we do not have the same rules here. I take it by others' comments that you have put a blanket ban on all countries except US. Is this forever or will you be revising this? My wife is a gold member and will want her money back if this is the case.

When Gamesville shut most of the world out of their cash competitions, I requested a refund of my Gold Membership.
I'M STILL WAITING! This request appears to have been ignored as I have asked several times.
Can someone advise if you have a Commerce Commission (may be called something different) in the US?

i wrote once asking why we don't have our room anymore. the room is Unalakleet. many of us want our room back. they're leaving it up to me to write to you. other rooms are too crowded to enjoy.
also, i have a complaint about one of the games i won on june 12th. i was really thrilled that i had bingoed on such a large jackpot. it was $7.00, but i was only given $1.00. time for the win was 15:20. was in the unalakleet room. please explain why that happened. thank you

I am a gold member of this site – I love to go to the room each day in the hope of winning some cash – I have 2 now. The majority of time however I win AGV points which are absoloutely no use to me as I am in Ireland is there not some way that I can get use out of them!!
Could I start a campaign to allow the Irish to enter the sweepstake draws!!

the ads freezing up the games are so terrible that what began as a nice diversion to an otherwise hectic day turned out to be the single most frustrating part of my day. I will admit that it has been some months since I been on the site and I am disappointed with just HOW BAD the freezing problem got!!! I used to say "support the advertisers" now I have written them down to make sure I tell folks NOT TO SUPPORT THESE ADVERTISERS. Oh, and I will also tell them just how frustrating your website is.

I received a notice that my gold subscription is about to expire. This is not true. I became a gold member in March of 2008. all my attempts to email get automated responses. I bought the membership with a prepaid card I no longer have. Even your email states this, USA_Gamesville_Yearly (active-03/11/2008 yet you are wanting payment by the end of December. Don't I have till March or do you start the year overon January 1st? Very frustrating to contact Gamesville.

As you said, GV Gold is an annual subscription. Your subscription will renew on your anniversary date, which is in March. A few months before a subscription is up for renewal, our system automatically checks to see if the card associated with the subscription is still valid. This is standard practice for subscription-oriented products.
If the card is not valid–for example, if it's a gift card or a credit card that's been closed–then the systm automatically contacts the card holder to give them a chance to update their payment information.This is what's happening to you.
The act of updating your payment information today does *not* change your renewal date or cause your card to be billed now.
By updating your payment information now, all you're doing is avoiding disruption in the service when it's up for renewal in March.
*You aren't charged anything until your renewal date.*

I wish you would reinstate giving the points if someone leaves the table , as we have more people that quit the game rather than boot from the game in spite and malice . I also would like to see the change of doing away with table so that if you click to play in a room it automatically takes you to a table preset with timer ( timer is a very must have ) and pairs you up with anyone no matter what thier score and if they leave because they think your score is to low they lose points automatically without you having to leave table . I enjoy the rating in spite and malice it is part of the game and would like to see it stick around . Since there are a lot that complain due to rates I think chaning it the way I explained will help eveyone .

I really enjoy playing spite and malice. I like the new rules of having to go unrated when playing robots, however, after talking to many members, we feel it would be an improvement if games were not scored with the handicap system. It makes it unfair when a high point player wins and gets 10 points per game won, then looses and looses 35 points. We feel a flat points per game would be more fair, suggestion. 15 points plus however many cards the opponent has left in his stack.

I like the way you have formated three eyed bingo.For those of us that have played for years , it is dissapointing that we can no longer chat durring the game.Part of the enjoyment was talking with friends that we made on line while playing the game.Many of these people are lonely or housebound and bored.Three eyed bingo gives us something to hope for and also a social outlet.
The announcements of Dickey Bingo for every single person winning extra GV points is not needed.We know we have won points.People can't even see their own name in print because the game moves fast enough that it is hard to read those messages anyway.The majority of your loyal players would love it if you would take away Dickies announcements durring the game and allow us to chat again! There is simply not enough time in between games! We have talked each other through breakups , loss of loved ones and even attempted suicide!! Of course there is the fun stuff too.Non of that is possible now.PLEASE reconsider your current format.

Our intention with the quotes at the top of the page is definitely not to be negative! Gamesville has a history of being quirky and a little off-center with our brand of humor, and the quotes from Mae West and others were chosen to make people chuckle, not cringe in discomfort.

I don't know why you insist on running those degrees.info ads on timed competitive games. You have to know they freeze every game they run on. And to report them pursuant to your instructions is so complicated, it's not worth trying to figure it out.

I also am experiencing problems with the moving ads on the game sites. They are VERY distracting. I will have to leave it up to somebody with more computer knowledge than me to take a screen shot of it.

The drop down ads and those awful kissing girls turn my stomach. If they don't disappear, I will. You cannot play games with the game board covered up with ads that you are not interested in seeing in the first place.
Yes, I know I can pay up and not have ads, but why should I?
I have been with Gamesville.com many years and enjoy your web site, but some things need to be fixed.

I seem to have lost just about everything in gamesville. My gv points are back to 100….they were 2,500,000. My friends and fav games are also gone. I can't log into any of the game rooms…I get a "cannot connect to server" error. I did several restarts, deleted cookies, checked flash and java. I don't know what else to do…except go back to Pogo!

this is very unfair for the same person to hit in two games a day apart , people who have been members for years that have never won need to have a chance there should be at least a 90 day period where the same person wins or something like that. I think this thing is rigged and gamesville employees are the ones winning so that gamesville won't have to pay regular everyday players.

I think it's wrong to make someone sit and play that stupid super chef for hours and never win , plus I noticed that there are only 2 winners a day. make it where there are more winners a day. ant to top it off the new members win more often than gold that is why I choose not to renew my gold (same chances w/o gold being I never win) I have only won $5.00 in that dumb gold game so it's useless to pay $24.95 to just get gv points when I could get more than that gold game gives me in bingo.
